Bring relief to hurricane victims
Calling VPMA members to help as you are able!
We are all aware of the devastating affects of Hurricane Helene that have been felt over hundreds of miles from the Gulf Coast to Virginia. If you are looking for a way to help people affected by the storm here in Virginia, please consider making a donation to Feeding Southwest Virginia. This organization exists to support the people of Southwest Virginia on an ongoing basis. Their sphere of need has gotten much bigger with the storm fallout.
In addition, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in Christiansburg, VA is a collection point for material donations to Feeding Southwest Virginia. Located at 210 Laurel St., Ste B, Christiansburg, VA, they are open from 9 - 5 weekdays, and will be accepting donations throughout the month of October. There is specific need for:
- Nonperishable cans of food
- Bottled water
- Personal hygiene items: toothpaste, tooth brushes, toilet paper, deodorant, etc.
- Lines - towels, blankets, pillows
- Baby items - formula, baby food, diapers and wipes
