We are asking members to take part in NPMA’s Voter Voice campaign to urge Congress to support Section 10206 of the 2026 Farm Bill. This provision codifies the EPA–state regulatory framework which provides certainty, consistency, and access to approved pest management tools needed to protect public health and property. Sending a message directly to your Member of Congress takes less than 5 minutes, and it lets them know what is important to their district and how you want them to vote on the Farm Bill.
Virginia is fortunate to be one of the 44 states that have state pesticide preemption. However, our neighbor to the north, Maryland, is not. What this means is localities in Maryland can (and do) pass laws that are more restrictive than the state and federal laws that regulate pesticides.
Share your voice now to create a consistent regulatory framework across the United States.
